AIUB Film Club presents Special Screening of Mission DDLJ at AIUB

On Tuesday, October 13, 2026, AIUB Film Club successfully organized a special screening of Mission DDLJ, a Channel i iScreen Original Film directed by Asif Jahangir Arko. The event took place from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Auditorium, Ground Floor, D Building, American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB). The screening brought the story of Dhrubo and Diya to the big screen for an afternoon of romance, comedy, and cinematic entertainment.

The event was organized to celebrate Bangladeshi audiovisual storytelling, encourage students’ appreciation of cinema, and create an opportunity for the AIUB community to experience the film together. The program included a welcome to the guests and faculty members, an introduction to the film, the screening, and a post-screening interaction with students.

The program was honoured by the presence of Dr. Manzur H. Khan, Proctor of AIUB. His presence added significance to the occasion and reflected the university’s support for student-led cultural and creative initiatives. Alongside Mr. Rakib Aziz, Officer, Office of Student Affairs (OSA), was also there as the mentor in-charge of AFC.

Media representatives from Channel i, Jamuna TV, Channel One, Star News, Somoy TV, and Khabarer Kagoj attended the screening ceremony. These outlets subsequently published and broadcast reports about the event on television and online platforms, extending its reach beyond the university.

The successful organization of the screening was made possible through the collective efforts of the AIUB Film Club and support of OSA. The club led the event planning and coordination and supported its promotion and media outreach, guest coordination, and on-site arrangements. Their teamwork helped deliver a memorable cinematic experience for the AIUB community.

Overall, the screening provided students with an opportunity to engage with Bangladeshi cinema, learn about the creative work behind a film, and interact with its team.
