Hands-On Experience with MATLAB

On Tuesday, 27^th October 2026, AIUB Community of Engineering Students (ACES), in collaboration with the Faculty of Engineering (FE), organized a workshop at Annex-2, American International University–Bangladesh (AIUB). The session was held from 12:30 PM to 3:00 PM. The workshop focused on the practical applications of MATLAB, introducing participants to fundamental techniques for signal generation, visualization, and data analysis in engineering.

The event commenced with an opening speech delivered by Prof. Dr. ABM Siddique Hossain (Professor & Dean, FE, AIUB), who highlighted the importance of foundational software tools in engineering education and encouraged students to build practical technical skills. The workshop was conducted by Mr. Sadman Shahriar Alam (Assistant Professor, Department of EEE, AIUB). He provided hands-on training starting from fundamental MATLAB commands to practical demonstrations of signal generation, data visualization, and advanced analytical techniques. The speaker stressed the relevance of MATLAB proficiency in solving complex engineering problems and enhancing academic research capability. 

Towards the end of the session, a token of appreciation was presented by Mr. Md. Alomgir Kabir (Assistant Professor, Department of EEE, AIUB) as a gesture of gratitude for the speaker’s valuable contribution. Overall, the workshop successfully enhanced the participants’ technical proficiency and practical knowledge of MATLAB.
